IMPORTANT UPDATE - CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
We have taken the decision to change our appointment system to ensure that we are able to look after our patients and staff in the safest possible way. We are following guidance from NHS England and Public Health England.
We have suspended our appointment system (including online bookings) for all future bookings in order to ensure we are prepared.
If you already have an appointment booked in the near future you may receive a call from the practice to see if it can be dealt with over the phone. If you feel that you need to be seen, you may be asked additional questions before an appointment is made for you.
If you do visit the surgery, please wear a mask and do not be alarmed if the Doctor that is seeing you is also wearing a mask or taking extra precautions.
If you wish to avoid the surgery, please cancel you appointment by contacting the reception team by phone. Alternatively you can use the online service (to cancel only) or texting cancellation option (if you have signed up to these services).
Please DO NOT attend the surgery if you suspect that you may have Coronavirus (COVID-19). This is for the protection of the whole practice as well as vulnerable patients. We do not have any way of testing for the virus in the surgery and anyone who attends the practice with this virus could lead to the surgery being closed.
If you are concerned about Coronavirus, please see the NHS 111 page: https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19
Please wash your hand thoroughly and regularly, when coughing or sneezing please ensure you cover your mouth, this could reduce the spread of this virus.
The situation around Coronavirus is changing daily. This post was reviewed on 17th April 2020.
All surgeries are by appointment only, please telephone 02476 382239 from 08:00 each weekday.
Telephone the surgery on 02476 382239, if you need to see a doctor urgently, the staff will make every effort to accommodate you in the same day, this may not be with your usual doctor or your call may be put through to the doctor. You will need to give as much detail as possible about your problem to ensure that this is passed to the doctors.
Whilst we do our best to run on time with appointments, if you are kept waiting, please be patient as there may be an emergency or a complicated problem that the doctor or nurse may be dealing with. The receptionists will do their best to keep you informed of any delays.
Please make a separate appointment for each person who needs to be seen.
During surgery hours, if you require telephone advice from a doctor or nurse, please telephone the surgery on 024 7638 2239. Staff at the practice will take a message and the doctor or nurse will call you back during the course of the day.
At any time of the day or night you can access help by calling the NHS 111. This is a free phone number and a triage operator will ask you some basic questions about your condition / concern. If necessary a doctor or nurse will call you back.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
